Yesterday President Obama released this statement in support of net neutrality and asked the FCC to reclassify internet service as a public utility. Here is his very concise statement.
Obama’s statement led to much online rejoicing, but every party has that one asshole who tries to ruin it for everyone else. Enter Senator Ted Cruz.
What an utter douche. Cruz’s statement doesn’t even really make any sense, it’s just old white guy argarbargle designed to send grandad over to the Fox Nation forums to complain about how this will lead to socialism and eventually FEMA camps. This is totally what we get for teaching old people to internet.
Cruz obviously has no understanding how the internet works, but he’s a pretty good at fucking up Washington. Whether his comments are just the usual “I support the opposite of the black guy” tactic, or he is kneeling down for some sweet telecom dollars, his supporters will magnify his message. Clearly, we must fight back and since this is the internet, this involves cats.
