Dick Clark Has Died

Music, television, and media conglomerate pioneer, Dick Clark died today at the age of 82. Best known for bringing us American Bandstand, New Year’s Rocking Eve, the American Music Awards, and so many other sources of entertainment, he was named the perpetual teenager given his apparent agelessness. For generations, he was the face and voice of new music, bringing us both Elvis and the infamous Madonna interview. He brought a lightness to television that seems to be a sign of days gone by.

Thankfully, Clark’s created enough great memories that we can even forgive him for letting Ryan Seacrest ascend to his throne.
