Good Friday to you, Crasstalkers! It was an eventful week. On Sunday some of you watched the Golden Globes. Monday was Martin Luther King Day; some Crasstalkers had to work, some of you had off and all of you wondered why this holiday was an occasion to have a sale. The GOP traveling circus continued to be an endless source of amusement. On Wednesday you supported the protesting of SOPA. You cringed as the details of the Costa Concordia shipwreck came into focus. Through it all, you brought the funny. Let’s examine the evidence, shall we?
Liveblogging the Golden Globes meant that you were not only anticipating the announcement of the winners but also excitedly waiting to pass judgment on the sartorial choices the stars made. You didn’t always see eye to eye.
Movie and television stars weren’t the only ones who had their clothing choices called into question this week. Yes, even a certain Crasstalker found herself at the center of a fashion controversy. No matter though. Sometimes just the support of another Crasstalker and the kind words of an IRL friend can soothe the soul.
You had fun watching the Golden Globes, seeing which films and TV shows are hot right now, but you also took a look back at the crap television of yesteryear.
The week wasn’t all fashion and entertainment and awards though. There was also important news about the GOP Varsity Mud-Wrestling Finals. Ricardo Periwinkle has withdrawn from the competition. One of you summed it up perfectly.
Nice work, everyone, but one commenter delivered a one liner so succinct, so cutting, so perfect, I had no choice but to select his comment as your COW for this week. When it came to debating the validity and potential offensiveness of using Martin Luther King Day as an opportunity for retailers to draw in shoppers, Cletar laid it down for you.
Until next week, munchkins.
xx
