LulzSec Hackers Claim Successful Attack on NATO

Hackers identifying themselves as members of LulzSec claim to have successfully hacked into computer systems belonging to NATO and claim to have obtained one Gigabyte of sensitive data from the organization. A tweet account, purportedly run by representatives of the group made the announcement at about 8:30 am EST.

The attack appears to be in retaliation for the arrests of several suspected Anonymous hackers in the US and Europe earlier this week. As proof of the hack LulzSec released a document that appears to have a NATO letterhead and a restricted access classification.

The group also released a defiant statement to the FBI, stating they will not be stopped.

We are not scared any more. Your threats to arrest us are meaningless to
us as you cannot arrest an idea. Any attempt to do so will make your
citizens more angry until they will roar in one gigantic choir. It is our
mission to help these people and there is nothing – absolutely nothing – you
can possibly to do make us stop.

Update: The Group just released a document outlining NATO personnel security procedures.
