Today’s question comes from a comment by SteveHoltsmtr in last night’s Open Thread. She asked obviously hip Crasstalkers for some recommendations for good podcasts. So let’s all compare notes here. What is your favorite podcast?
I listen to a bunch of different ones since I spend a lot of time on the train and I am a radio freak.
Here’s my favorite, Dan Karlin’s Hardcore History. This is a really labor and research intensive show, and they only put out a new episode every month or so. However, it is beautifully produced and is full of fascinating details.
Here is a link to one of my favorite episodes (it is actually part of a four part series) about the brutality of the Eastern Front during WWII. It is not only full if facts, but it is a sensitive telling of the suffering that the people of Europe endured. You can learn more about the series here.
