Sex and Relationships
Today is the fortieth anniversary of the Supreme Court’s ruling in Eisenstadt v. Baird, a decision that barred states from denying birth control to unmarried persons. Unlike its predecessor, Griswold v. Connecticut, Eisenstadt is a relatively uncelebrated decision, though with it, the Court validated what is now a thoroughly modern mindset about sex: that sex can be fun, and it isn’t necessarily all about baby-making. The decision extended the right to privacy to include single persons– using an equal protection argument that claimed that states cannot discriminate against unmarried people when it comes to laws restricting access to birth control. It was a victory for single men and women. Continue reading
Well, that’s according to a new report by the World Health Organization. They say that it’s possible circumcised men may have a slightly lower risk of developing prostate cancer than those who still have their foreskin. Continue reading
The Chick-Fil-A at NYU is the worst kept secret in New York City, but did you know that to work there requires a detailed interview about your sexual history? The blurry cell phone picture says you better have your number ready, and that number better be 1 if you’re married and 0 if you’re not.

In a follow-up to our report Wednesday that named AshleyMadison.com, “dating website” for cheaters, as one advertiser willing to support Limbaugh’s ranting Man-Pig Equal Opportunity Offensive Variety Hour — now old Puke Snout has a response! Continue reading

If you are like most people, you probably think of orgasms and births as very separate things. One should, ideally, precede the other, but they are not likely to occur simultaneously. It’s a completely different approach to the pain management model that currently exists concerning birth. Continue reading
Researchers have determined that online dating has gone mainstream now more than ever. Which from what we can gather means that every single person you know has an online dating profile. No longer does computer dating have a scurrilous stigma attached that was once thought to be a place where only weirdos, drunkards, fetishists, and the otherwise fetid, noxious humans dwelled in hopes of mating with, becoming wedded to, or, at worst, adding other singletons to their collections. Yipes! (Not including Craigslist(lost)) Those freaks are nuts. No, now, online dating can boast that more than 25 million users around the world have taken the plunge and signed up with a dating site.
But what are they really selling? Is it really unmatched compatibility? Continue reading
If you’ve turned on your TV recently you may have noticed a series of (awful and borderline racist) commercials for www.Buy.xxx. Yep, you can now register Slores.xxx (or whatever). Yesterday the .xxx top level domain (TLD) officially opened as more than 100,000 sites were registered with the domain management company ICM Management.
The creation of the .xxx TLD has been roiling the adult industry for the past few years but is now just creeping into the mainstream media. Continue reading
Everybody’s favorite Google Search emollient, Rick Santorum, has a lot to say about sex — gay sex. I can’t determine if his comments last night are the most ironic thing ever, or just the most recent sad, and pathetic bit of mouth garble to dump its way out of the mottled maw of one Rick Santorum. Probably and forever the latter. Continue reading
