Wizardchan has boiled up to the surface of the Internet with the events happening at UCSB, though the two should not be confused for one another even though there is overlap. V9K is a sub forum, image board on the Wizardchan site that wizards use as a support group, chat forum and sounding board. The V9K sub forum is specifically for depression related topics. Sometimes you just need to laugh and get childish. Oh, and eat well and day drink. My cousin is my best friend – and that’s pretty amazing. It’s cool to have a friendship that doesn’t just span from elementary school to the present, it actually spans from her toilet training me (even though we’re about the same age) to the present.
What can I say. She’s a 7 months older and more mature than I am. Continue reading
Today seems like a good day to talk about race in America. (Every day is a good day to talk about race in America.) I saw Watermelon Oreos in the checkout line at Target yesterday. They made me feel weird. Is it the idea of the taste? The possible hydrogenated oil-mealy watermelon mouthfeel? Or…

Next time I am planning on swapping the turkey kielbasa with some chorizo or another spicy sausage to give the dish a little kick. Continue reading
Monica Lewinsky, she of the infamous blue stained dress, has penned what some may label an explosive essay for Vanity Fair of which critics and other scandal-rubberneckers are mining for scurrilous admissions of guilt, guile, or other verifiable sins, and maybe, just maybe, a little vinegar thrown onto the honeyed path of one Hillary Rodham Clinton. After all, what could this would-be homewrecker have to say after fifteen years of self-appointed media exile that could be worth more than the briefest of romps through the pages of glorified tabloid fodder? If you know me even slightly, you’ll know that I’m as sentimental as the day is long. So, when my grandmother gave me a little butter churner, I promptly put in on my “cherished kitchen items” shelf. Continue reading
