Now that you’ve mailed your taxes (or have filed your extension), take advantage of some of the freebies and specials that are floating around in honor of Tax Day.
Here are a few from the list on Huffington Post:
- Free appetizer or dessert at Chili’s with this coupon.
- Cold Stone Creamery and Maggie Moo’s are giving away frozen yogurt from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m today.
- If you “like” Arby’s Facebook page, you can get a coupon for free curly fries today.
- McCormick and Schmick’s has extended their happy hour from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. today. Drink specials include Bloody Mary Tax Code, the Uncle Same and Rummy Refund.
- Sonic Restaurants is offering all fountain drinks and slushes for half price today.
Tomorrow is the deadline for filing your 2011 taxes in the US. Maybe you owe money and dread writing that check. Or maybe you just realized that you never got your W-2.
Really though, if you haven’t filed by now you might as well just send in an extension and go back to whatever Master of Procrastination activity you’ve been doing for the last three months. If you’re bound and determined to get them done today; Go, get off the internet, what are you doing here? For everyone else, here is a game. Rewrite the tax code. How would you make it “fair”. Also or alternately what would you fund or defund?
