Late in March, I did a QOTD asking everyone’s favorite (and least favorite) song from 1998. Talk about a trip down memory lane. I just finished listening to one of my favorite podcasts discuss Weezer’s The Blue Album since it’s turning 20 this month. Which reminded me that someone in my previous QOTD suggested I do another post, but about 1989.
Now, I was pretty young in 1989, so I needed Wikipedia to remind me what songs were popular that year. Suffice it to say after perusing the list, “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block was definitely my favorite. Thus beginning my lifelong love affair with boy bands. (Ok, fine, this came out in 88, but it peaked at #3 in the charts in ’89.)
