When we think of love songs, we have a canon that we fall back on, don’t we? Elton John’s “Your Song,” for example. Or if your situation is a little more dire, “Someone Saved My Life Tonight.” Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Ditto for Three Dog Night’s “Just An Old-Fashioned Love Song.” No one deserves that, do they?
