This Week in Assholes

Another week and another crop of assholes. This week our harvest is plentiful. Already this week Baldwin told you about bankers being bad, BizMonkey shared some dickish responses to the health care decision by the Supreme Court, and Lucky explained Cookiegate. However, there are still plenty more reprehensible behavior this week that deserve special mention in our hall of shame.

Our first fucktard is Hafiz Gul Bahadur, a Pakistani tribal leader who last week blocked polio vaccinations for 161,000 children in North Waziristan. The commander blocked the vaccines to protest against US drone strikes in the region. I am not sure how letting your own children get a horrible disease really sticks it to the Imperialist Running Dogs. However, I am pretty sure that pulling a bitch move like this ensures no one will miss you when you get taken out by a Bunker Buster. Thanks to BooBoo for bring me this via Shrub Monkey.

Next up is Herman Cain. You know, I find it kind of amazing Cain hasn’t been here yet. Anyway, here is an offensive video Cain made with fellow asshole Ken Blackwell. In the video Cain and Blackwell use lots of powerful images from the Civil Rights movement to explain why Florida should be able to throw lots of people off the voting rolls (hint: BLACK PANTHERS!). Anyway, both of these fucktards should know better.

A special asshole nod to rebels in Mali who are destroying a World Heritage Site in Timbuktu. The Mausoleum of the Saints is from the 16th Century, and locals have been powerless to stop Al-Qaeda affiliated rebels from destroying the area with pix axes. Locals have been trying to develop the area for tourism to escape their soul-crushing poverty, but rebels consider the site offensive because it is a celebration of a different sect of Islam. I guess World Heritage Site means nothing when you are an asshole. Special thanks to Madfall for the tip.

Next up is a group calling themselves Public Advocate of the United States. These folks stole a romantic photo of a gay couple in New York and used it for an anti-gay attack ad. Brian, one of the men in the picture, writes about his experience on Gay Wedding Experience.com. It’s actually an incredible sweet story and no asshole can ruin it. Sorry, haters.

Bonus Points:Anti-Semitic Elmo.
